Terms of service

Plain-language terms for Eichan digital products and human-led services. Effective September 2, 2026.

1. Scope and acceptance

These terms apply to Eichan digital products and human-led services. Product-specific descriptions, written scopes, and checkout terms also apply. If they conflict, the more specific written term controls for that purchase.

2. Eligibility and territory

The offers are intended for business customers located outside Japan and for purchases made for genuine business or professional use. They are not offered to buyers located in Japan. By purchasing, the buyer confirms that they are outside Japan and are acquiring the product or service for business or professional purposes. Availability may be restricted where a transaction would create legal, regulatory, sanctions, export-control, tax, or operational obligations that cannot reasonably be supported.

3. Digital products

Digital products grant the buyer a personal or internal-business, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the purchased materials. Buyers may customize materials for their own work but may not resell, redistribute, publish, sublicense, or use them to create a competing template product.

4. Human-led services

A project begins only after scope, price, assumptions, exclusions, timing, and any expense approval process are agreed in writing and payment requirements are satisfied. An inquiry or purchase request does not guarantee acceptance. No specific commercial outcome, introduction, supplier response, market result, or regulatory conclusion is guaranteed.

5. 90-day self-serve service credit

The amount actually paid for one eligible self-serve digital product may be credited toward one qualifying human-led service with a service fee of at least $499, provided that the service is booked and paid within 90 calendar days of the eligible digital purchase.

6. Buyer responsibilities

The buyer must provide accurate information, lawful instructions, timely decisions, and materials they are authorized to share. The buyer remains responsible for business, legal, tax, regulatory, safety, and investment decisions.

7. Expenses and third parties

Travel, shipping, purchases, entry, venue, testing, translation, professional advisers, and other third-party costs are excluded unless expressly included. Material expenses require written approval before commitment.

8. Intellectual property and confidentiality

Each party retains its pre-existing intellectual property. Project deliverables and usage rights are defined in the written scope. Reasonable care will be used with confidential information, but buyers should not submit secrets or sensitive data unless an appropriate secure process has been agreed.

9. Limitation and changes

To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected product or service. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Terms may be updated for future purchases; the version accepted at purchase governs that purchase.
